Hi everyone!
It’s been a while since my last blog post (far too long in fact!), so thought I’d do something about it.
The reason for my lack of writing is simply I’ve been too busy! Those of you who run their own business will understand the buzz that comes from seeing your hard work pay off. My client base is growing steadily, as well as the two classes each week becoming increasingly popular. I’m also working on some exciting projects, which I will talk about more in a bit. So overall, things are going brilliantly!
The biggest buzz I get though is seeing the progress each and every one of my clients is making. I love witnessing first hand the increase in strength and stamina, and reduction in body fat in all of them! Some have even commented how their general mood and energy levels have improved significantly since they’ve started training, which is another benefit of exercising regularly and eating healthier. If those things aren’t an incentive to start exercising I don’t know what is!
As I mentioned earlier, my classes are becoming more popular, with a solid base of regulars interspersed with a healthy number of people of who come when they can ( I understand life gets in the way sometimes!). The same as with my PT clients, I have noticed significant improvements in many of you, some over a very short period of time! Starting the circuit training classes is something I never thought I would do, but am so pleased I did. It is not a natural thing for me to stand in front of a room of people and talk, even if it is only for a few minutes before and after the class! However, as with most things in life, you need to push yourself. Do things you aren’t comfortable with. Conquer your fears. The rewards, as I have discovered, can be amazing.
So, to the exciting projects I’m working on. Firstly, I have recently become qualified to instruct chair-based exercise classes for the over 60s. As we get older, many of us will contract illnesses or injuries which may prevent us from training or being as active as we used to. The idea of the chair-based exercise classes is to use gentle, chair-based (hence the name) exercises to help those people up their fitness level. It’s nothing strenuous, and can be a lot of fun!
I will be starting these classes soon. I am doing these in association with an excellent organisation called Purple Trust. They are a local charity who’s aim is to help over 50s become more social. Check out their website here: http://purpletrust.co.uk/
As soon as I have the details on where and when these classes will take place I will be putting them up on my website. In the meantime, if this sounds like something you would be interested in, or maybe you have a family member or friend who would benefit from the classes or anything Purple Trust do, then please get in touch.
Finally, the other project I am working on is another class, although at the other end of the scale to chair-based exercise! It is still in the early development stages at the moment, but I am looking at doing a 30 minute high intensity fat burning class! I’m not going to give too much away just yet, but it will be intense and not for the faint-hearted! There is potential to take this class to different towns and villages, so if you like the sound of a 30 minute blast in your town or village, then let me know!
I think that’s it for now! I won’t leave it as long next time!
Thanks for reading!
